We are pleased to announce that the Art Exhibition at the Lightbox in Woking during February and March was a resounding success, raising over £3,200 over the two auctions! It also gave a lot of pleasure to the people who visited the exhibition and those who purchased paintings, as well as getting us closer to our fundraising goal to replace our trip boat Kitty with an “all electric” boat. The organisers at the Lightbox, who see many such exhibitions, was very positive about the quality of artwork on display.
Many thanks to the artists without whom it would not have been possible. Thank you for spending both time and money to help us.
Also, thanks to those who gave up their time to help carry and organise, those who attended and photographed the opening ceremony as well everyone who put in hard yards to spread the word about the exhibition. Thanks as well to the volunteers who gave up their time to help with the stewarding.
