A gift in your Will helps enable the canal to live on for future generations to enjoy. We offer a free Will writing service to help make this as easy as possible (see below for more detail).
How will a gift in my Will make a difference?
Our canal is a wonderful 200 year-old, 32 mile-long ribbon of precious space from the Wey Navigation junction to the Greywell Tunnel running through our towns and countryside. Once one of the nation’s industrial arteries, the canal now provides a place we can visit, spend time together and get closer to nature.
By considering a gift in your Will you can help to:
Protect our Heritage
We look after the canal, towpaths, locks, benches, our boats and the associated infrastructure.
Your gift will help to fund the maintenance and improvement works undertaken by more than 250 volunteers.
Ensure Wildlife Thrives
Our waterway provides an incredibly important wildlife corridor, creating connected habitats for many species. Maintaining habitats needs careful custodianship to ensure that wildlife can thrive. A gift in your Will can support our work to boost biodiversity and support wildlife recovery in the face of huge decline in recent years.

How to leave a gift in your Will
We’ve partnered with Will writers Kept Assets to help our members and supporters write new Wills or review existing ones all free of charge.
If you do not have a Will – Kept Assets will write a simple Will for you free of charge
If you already have a Will – Kept Assets will review your existing Will free of charge.
