Trips going west to the castle usually last approximately 2.5 hours.  Trips going east to Barley Mow are slightly longer. In conditions of low water, trips can take up to 3.5 hours.  Conditions on the day may determine in which direction we travel.

To make a reservation, please complete the charter enquiry form which will generate a reference number for your trip on our automated system.

Guests

  • We recommend 40 guests, sitting 4 per table, if you are having food. E.g. a cream tea or fish and chips.
  • If you are having buffet style food, where you don’t expect all your guests to be seated at the same time, we can remove some tables to give you more room to move around. We still recommend a maximum of 40 guests.
  •  If you are having musicians, in order to have room for them, you need to reduce your guest numbers accordingly.
  • The boat is licensed for 50 passengers, but this is really only suitable if you have no tables and are not serving food. This is based on our years of experience.

You do not need to include the crew in your numbers.

Drinks

The fully licensed bar is open on all cruises (it is licensed after 11am). You can purchase real ale, wine, spirits, coffee, tea, drinks, light refreshments and souvenirs. By prior arrangement you can pay corkage if you are bringing your own wine / fizz.

Food

You are welcome to bring your own food on board or, alternatively, you may wish to use the services of a caterer, who are used to delivering to the boat at the start of a cruise.
