You can help support the Basingstoke Canal Society by donating to our fundraising efforts. This can be done easily online in a few clicks!
The Basingstoke Canal Society is a registered charity that promotes and campaigns for the sustainable future of the Basingstoke Canal. The Society was registered as a charity in 1977 and raises money which is used to fund the maintenance and improvement works undertaken by over 300 volunteers.
You can donate to the Society directly by choosing from the options below. Clicking on a donation link will take you to our online payment service where you may choose the amount to donate. Taxpayers may also select Gift Aid if appropriate so we can collect a further 25% from the Government.
Individual Donations
The Society is raising funds for many ongoing projects and to support the maintenance of the Basingstoke Canal.
Corporate Donations
A donation from a business benefits us both. For most businesses, charity donations are tax deductable and can also result in increased publicity and other benefits.

Legacy Donation
A gift in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to remember them, especially if they had a love of the Canal. You could set up a special fund in their memory, or request that family and friends make a donation rather than giving flowers at a funeral or memorial service.

Postal Donations
Alternatively you may send a cheque to our registered office at The Basingstoke Canal Society, Chancery House, 30, St Johns Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 7SA. Print the below Postal Donation Form that you can send with your donation which will allow us to claim 25% Gift Aid. If you would prefer and are a UK taxpayer, you can just write your address on the rear of the cheque with “Yes to Gift Aid”.
