As a registered charity, becoming a member is one important way you can help our charitable efforts.

Whether you live close by the Basingstoke Canal or wish to support from afar, becoming a member of The Basingstoke Canal Society is quick and easy, only taking a few minutes online!

Becoming a member can really help make a difference towards our work, both maintaining the Canal and campaigning for it’s long term sustainable future.

Our aim is to Keep the Canal Alive for today and for future generations to enjoy.

Membership includes:

  • Contributing to the upkeep of the canal
  • The feel-good factor of supporting a charity
  • Regular newsletters highlighting the activities of the Society to maintain and support the canal
  • A free trip on the John Pinkerton II trip boat during the summer
  • Member only social events
  • An invite to and vote at the AGM
  • An opportunity to volunteer
