There’s nothing quite like the experience of watching the sunset or sunrise; the colours, the silhouettes and the gentle breeze. They’re probably one of the most photographed scenes on calendars and in our holiday snaps.
John Pinkerton Canal Cruises is offering you this special, not-to-be-missed experience on the Basingstoke canal at dawn on midsummer’s day.
Leaving Colt Hill wharf, Odiham at 4.00 am, the John Pinkerton ll will head east along the tree-lined canal and under the many original bridges in time to see the sunrise at 4.47 am. Bring your cameras and binoculars to make the most of the beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way and, weather permitting, we should get some fabulous dawn pictures. Turning by the Barley Mow, we will be serving a continental breakfast on the return cruise, arriving back at Colt Hill wharf by about 7.00 am. (estimated time).
The galley will be serving hot and cold drinks for the duration of the trip.
Cruise + breakfast is £15 per person. Please let us know when booking of any dietary requirements or allergies. You can book your tickets by clicking here.
What a fantastic way to start the longest day of the year and still get back in time for work (probably!)
