Being a member of the Basingstoke Canal Society is great but even better when the booking is open for the free member’s boat trips that take place over the summer evenings.
There are 5 trips to choose from starting in May and going throughout the summer months:
- Monday 19th May departing 7pm
- Tuesday 17th June departing 7pm
- Tuesday 22nd July departing 7pm
- Monday 4th August departing 7pm
- Sunday 14th September departing 10am
The trips depart from Odiham, Hampshire on the John Pinkerton II where there is ample free parking only yards from the boat.

The member’s boat trips are a great way to meet fellow members, find out more about volunteering with the society, how you can donate and how to stay up to date with our work, activities and the challenges facing the Basingstoke Canal.
