DESCRIPTION:**FULLY BOOKED**\nSea Shanties - A Musical Cruise with The King
 s Pond Shantymen\nThe popular and talented Shantymen\, based in Alton\, wi
 ll be performing shanties and seafaring songs.\nKings Pond Shantymen were 
 formed in 2001 and over the years have performed at many events in Hampshi
 re and West Surrey. They aim for an authentic shanty style: unaccompanied 
 male voices singing together in a boisterous fashion with harmonies thrown
  in rather than pre-planned. The Men have appeared on UK National Televisi
 on series 'Escape to the Country’ singing on HMS Warrior in Portsmouth\,
  the episode frequently gets re-aired.  The men all like to sing and drin
 k a pint or two of beer\, but not at the same time as it tends to waste th
 e beer. Their repertoire covers a wide range of shanty styles: long and sh
 ort hauls\, pumping and capstan as well as forebitters\, whaling songs\, b
 allads and drinking songs. All the well-known favourites are included and 
 audience participation is actively encouraged. There will be a collection 
 for the RNLI.\n\n 	A special evening cruise on the Basingstoke canal.\n 	D
 eparts at 7pm.  Please be at the wharf by 6.40pm.\n 	Join in with sea sha
 nties and other traditional songs.\n 	A delicious hot meal of Chicken Joll
 of Rice (vegetarian option available) will be served on departure and is i
 ncluded in the price.\n 	Licensed bar and galley is open all evening for y
 ou to purchase hot and cold drinks from our extensive range of wines\, ale
 s\, beers and more.\n 	Tables are laid for groups of 4 people\, and althou
 gh we can make slight adjustments you may be asked to share\n 	If you woul
 d like to sit with friends who are booking separately\, please make a note
  of this in “Additional Comments”. We will try our best to accommodate
  you.\n 	These cruises generally last around 3 hours.\n 	Cruise times may 
 be extended in low water conditions.\n 	If you are booking a taxi home con
 sult the skipper on the evening for eta.\n 	Recommended for adults only.\n
