Book public, themed or charter trips on our pleasure boats.
The Basingstoke Canal Society is a registered charity which owns two passenger boats providing pleasure trips on the Basingstoke Canal. The John Pinkerton II which operates from Odiham hosts up to 50 guests and the Kitty, operating from The Town Wharf in Woking, up to 12 guests. Our trip season is from March to October every year with some festive trips in December.
Both boats are operated by John Pinkerton Canal Cruises Ltd and are crewed by trained and qualified volunteers. All proceeds go directly to safeguarding the Basingstoke Canal for the future.
There are three ways you can enjoy the canal on either of our boats:
Charter Trips – you can book all the seats on either boat for a private event or party. Public Trips – open to the public and can be booked online or on the towpath on the day. Themed Trips – cream teas, special events or music evenings. These can be booked and paid for securely online. |
You can search for and book a trip by clicking here or by using one of the links at the bottom of this page. Our online shop sells vouchers that you can use or give as a gift.
Charter Availability and Times
Charter trips are available every day between April and October apart from published Public and Theme Trips. Trip times are subject to variation and can be seen in the comparison chart below.
